The year was 1996, by then the initial euphoria and the apprehension about globalisation had settled down.This was the era when the Indian economy was eyeing at brighter opportunities.The financial sector was being churned with constant reforms.The research gave rise to a necessity of Finance Professionals in huge numbers.Aptly then MFC was conceived in order to fill the gap of this requirement.Master of Finance and Control or popularly known as MFC, is a core finance course introduced by the P.G. Department of Commerce anticipating the growing need for finance specialists in the changing global economic environment.

Ever since then the course has been exceptionally successful. The department is committed to development of competent professionals with command over intricacies of finance and has been successfully incubating and nurturing financial dexterity since its inception,courtesy- the potent pedagogy and finest faculty which has become the hallmark of this course. Here at MFC,we take dynamism seriously.The faculty, the students and the administration at MFC, contribute to the Organisational culture marked by hard work, social values, mutual respect and understanding, personal maturity, and integrity. In 2015 MFC Changed to MBA(Financial Management).
